Wyoming Latina Youth Conference Mission Statement:
'To enrich and empower young Latinas through mentors, education and awareness'
The Wyoming Latina Youth Conference is a non-profit organization focused on empowering young Latinas through mentorship and awareness. Our annual two-day event is held every October and is made up of a welcome dinner banquet, cultural performances, informational presentations, and educational workshops. The Wyoming Latina Youth Conference is open to all 5th-12th grade students of Latinx, Hispanic, Indigenous, Afro-Latinx, and mixed-blooded female identified youth throughout the state of Wyoming.

Keynote Speaker Bio:
Dr. Guillermina Gina Núñez-Mchiri is an applied anthropologist who promotes service learning and engaged scholarship efforts on the U.S.-Mexico Border. She is the academic partner to Wise Latina International, a non-profit organization that empowers Latinas through the arts and entertainment. She is currently Co-Chair for the L.E.A.D. project, an executive leadership program that prepares women with the skills and tools necessary for them to launch projects and initiatives that support the development of Latinas, their families, and community. Guillermina Gina Núñez-Mchiri has been named the new Dean for San Diego State University Imperial Valley and is author of the book,Community Engagement and High Impact Practices in Higher Education.
